Witnesses Sought After Serious Fail to Remain Pedestrian Collision in Brampton

On Monday, April 13, shortly after 5 a.m., police responded to a motor vehicle collision involving a pedestrian at the intersection of Bovaird Drive and McLaughlin Road.

A newer-model blue Toyota RAV4 was travelling northbound on McLaughlin Road when it made a right turn onto Bovaird Drive and struck a male pedestrian who was crossing from the northside to the southside of the intersection. The pedestrian was subsequently struck by two additional vehicles, both of which remained at the scene. The Toyota RAV4 stopped briefly before leaving the scene and speaking to police.

The pedestrian, a 28‑year‑old man, sustained critical injuries and remains in life‑threatening condition.

Investigators are asking any motorists or bystanders who were in the area between 5 a.m. and 5:30 a.m. to review dash‑camera or cellphone footage for possible sightings of the suspect vehicle.
