Public Assistance Sought in Identifying Suspect in Two Sexual Assaults on Brampton Transit Züm Buses

Region of Peel – The Special Victims Unit (SVU) is seeking the public’s assistance in identifying a suspect following two alleged stranger sexual assaults on Brampton Transit Züm buses. Investigators believe the incidents are connected and that the same suspect is responsible for both offences.

Between Oct. 1 and Oct. 15, investigators received reports of alleged sexual assaults involving two victims, including one youth, while travelling on Brampton Transit Züm buses. In each incident, an unidentified male suspect boarded the 511C bus at Humber College Terminal between approximately 4:20 p.m. and 5:11 p.m., sat near the victim, and engaged in unwanted sexual touching during the trip to Brampton Gateway Terminal at 501 Main St. S.

The suspect is described as a male, approximately 5'10" to 5'11" tall, in his early 20s to early 30s, with a thin build, moustache, and black beard. He has long black hair, possibly worn in a bun. During the incidents, he was observed wearing a black baseball cap, a sage-green hooded sweatshirt, blue jeans, beige running shoes, and carrying a blue Under Armour backpack (see photos).

Anyone with information regarding these incidents, or who may have had contact with the suspect is asked to contact investigators with the Special Victims Unit at 905-453-2121, ext. 3460.
