Police Seek Public Assistance in Robberies at Mississauga Shopping Centre
Region of Peel – Investigators from the 11 Division Criminal Investigation Bureau (CIB) are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying a suspect wanted in connection with multiple robberies at Square One Shopping Centre in Mississauga.
On Sept. 3, shortly after 5 p.m., the victim was walking to their vehicle in the parking garage at Square One Shopping Centre when they were approached and robbed of an electronic product they had recently purchased. During the incident, the victim sustained significant injuries and was transported to hospital.
Investigators have identified two additional incidents that occurred between May 9 and June 27. In both instances, the suspect approached victims at their vehicles in the parking garage and forcibly took electronic products they had recently purchased. One victim sustained minor injuries.
Investigators believe the suspect may be following customers who have purchased products from an electronic store before approaching them in the parking garage.
The suspect is described as a Black male, approximately 6'0" tall, with a thin build and weighing approximately 215 pounds. He has short black hair and dark brown eyes. The suspect is known to wear medical masks and gloves.
Investigators are reminding members of the public to remain alert when leaving shopping centres and to be aware of their surroundings, particularly when walking to their vehicles.
