Peel Regional Police Seek Additional Victims Following Indecent Act Involving a Child at Brampton Recreational Facility
Region of Peel – Investigators with the 21 Division Criminal Investigation Bureau (CIB) are seeking additional victims in connection with an indecent act investigation involving a child at a Brampton recreation facility.
On April 26, at approximately 3:15 p.m., a child was using a change room at a recreational facility located in the area of Dixie Road and Balmoral Drive in the City of Brampton. While inside the change room, the child was approached by an unknown male who attempted to communicate with and lure the child into a stall. The child immediately fled the area and returned to their parent.
A short time later, the same male suspect was reportedly observed outside the recreational facility exposing himself.
As a result of the investigation, on May 4, police arrested 40‑year‑old Patrick Rabideau‑Blackadder of Brampton. He has been charged with the following offences:
- Invitation to Sexual Touching
- Criminal Harassment
- Mischief
- Indecent Act
He was held in custody pending a bail hearing.
The investigation is ongoing and police believe there may be additional victims.
