Nearly $800,000 in Stolen Cargo and Commercial Vehicles Recovered

Region of Peel – Investigators from the Commercial Auto Crime Bureau (CACB) have recovered nearly $800,000 worth of stolen cargo and commercial vehicles following an investigation in Brampton.

On July 22, 2026, investigators attended the area of Heart Lake Rd and Countryside Dr in Brampton as part of a follow-up investigation into a stolen trailer. During a search of the area, officers located and recovered four stolen commercial vehicles and trailers valued at approximately $105,000.

The recovered vehicles included:

  • ·         A 2015 Volvo VNL tractor
  • ·         A 2016 Utility Manufacturing trailer
  • ·         A 1998 Stoughton trailer
  • ·         A 2021 Utility Manufacturing trailer

While examining the recovered trailers, investigators also discovered two shipments of stolen computer equipment that were unrelated to the vehicle theft investigations. Police believe the cargo had been transferred into the stolen trailers following separate thefts that occurred on July 17 and July 20, 2026.

The recovered computer equipment has an estimated value of $681,083.68, bringing the total value of recovered vehicles and cargo to $786,083.68.
