Mississauga Man Charged in Series of Unprovoked Attacks and Property Damage Investigation
Region of Peel – Investigators with the 11 Division Criminal Investigation Bureau (CIB) have arrested and charged a man in connection with a series of unprovoked assaults and property damage incidents in Mississauga.
The incidents, which occurred at all hours, include assaults on unsuspecting individuals and a male throwing rocks at vehicles and other property, causing damage. Victims had no prior interaction with the accused.
On June 20, 2026, Kuo Yang Du, 36, of Mississauga, was arrested on an unrelated matter, but through investigation it was determined that the accused was responsible for a series of incidents, including those described above, dating back to November 2024.
Kuo Yang Du has been charged with:
- Mischief Over $5,000 X15
- Assault
- Assault with a Weapon
He was held for a bail hearing at the Ontario Court of Justice in Brampton.
Investigators believe there may be additional victims or witnesses who have not yet come forward. Police are asking anyone who may have had a similar interaction, been assaulted, or experienced damage to their vehicle or property to contact investigators.
Members of the public are also encouraged to review any available dash-cam, residential, or commercial video footage for incidents involving a male throwing rocks at properties.
