Canada-Wide Warrant Issued for Suspect in Brampton Attempt Murder
Region of Peel – Investigators from the 21 Division Criminal Investigation Bureau have identified 19-year-old Kaleb Kimotho of Brampton and issued a Canada-wide warrant for his arrest in connection with an attempted murder investigation.
On April 6, two victims were sitting in a vehicle near 1020 Central Park Drive in Brampton when Kimotho and a second suspect entered the back seat. As the vehicle drove away, Kimotho allegedly fired a gun inside the vehicle, striking both victims. The victims suffered serious injuries.
Kimotho is wanted for the following offences:
- Attempt Murder Using a Firearm
- Aggravated Assault
- Discharge Firearm with Intent
- Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm
- Possession of a Prohibited Device or Ammunition Knowing it is Unauthorized
- Possession of a Loaded Prohibited or Restricted Firearm
Kimotho is described as male, Black, 5”8, approximately 130 lbs, with short black hair, brown eyes, and a medium complexion.
He should be considered armed and dangerous. Members of the public are advised not to approach and to call 911 immediately if seen.
Investigators are urging Kimotho to seek legal counsel and surrender to police.
