Assistance Sought in Sexual Assault Investigation

Region of Peel – Investigators from the Special Victims Unit (SVU) are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying a male suspect following a sexual assault in Brampton.

On April 11, at approximately 9:30 p.m., an adult female victim was in the green space near Airport Road and Bovaird Drive in Brampton when she was approached from behind by a male suspect and allegedly sexually assaulted. The victim was able to escape and contacted police.

The suspect is described as a South Asian male, approximately 30 years old, with short facial hair, a medium build, and standing approximately 6 feet tall. He was reported to have an accent and was wearing a grey hoodie and dark-coloured pants.

Peel Regional Police encourages residents to remain aware of their surroundings, limit the use of headphones, and, when possible, travel with a companion.
