Arrest Made in String of Retail Robberies
Region of Peel - Investigators from the Central Robbery Bureau have arrested a man in connection to a series of retail robberies in Brampton.
Between Aug. 14 and Aug. 24, the suspect allegedly targeted five retail establishments in Brampton. In each incident, the suspect entered the business, brandished a large knife, and demanded money.
As a result of the investigation, Teepinder Singh Ghuman, a 22-year-old man from Brampton, was identified and arrested on Aug. 29.
Ghuman was charged with:
- Robbery (five counts)
- Disguise with Intent to Commit an Indictable Offence (six counts)
- Attempt to Commit an Indictable Offence
Ghuman was held for a bail hearing and appeared in the Ontario Court of Justice in Brampton.
