Arrest Made in Connection to Armed Carjacking in Mississauga
Region of Peel – Investigators from the Central Robbery Bureau (CRB) have arrested and charged an individual in connection with an armed carjacking that occurred in Mississauga.
On Feb 4, 2025, at approximately 4:30 p.m., the victim was parked in his commercial vehicle in the area of Torbram Road and Derry Road East when he was approached by two masked suspects armed with handguns. The suspects allegedly pointed the firearms at the victim and forced him from the vehicle at gunpoint.
As a result of the investigation, officers believe that Raheem Hartley is one of the individuals responsible for the carjacking. Investigators subsequently determined that Hartley had left Canada shortly after the incident. A Canada-wide warrant was issued for his arrest in December, 2025.
On July 16, Hartley arrived in Toronto on an international flight and was arrested upon landing.
Raheem Hartley (24), of the United Kingdom has been charged with:
- Robbery
- Disguise with Intent
- Use of an Imitation Firearm While Committing an Offence
Hartley was held for a bail hearing at the Ontario Court of Justice.
