Arrest Made in Brampton Sexual Assaults

Region of Peel – Investigators from the 21 Division Criminal Investigations Bureau (CIB) have arrested and charged a man believed to be responsible for multiple sexual assaults in Brampton.

On Monday, August 31, two females were allegedly sexually assaulted in separate incidents in Brampton by an unknown male. In the first incident, a woman in her 20s was shopping at a mall in the area of Dixie Road and Clark Boulevard when the suspect allegedly approached and sexually assaulted her. Later that day, a female under the age of 18 was waiting at a transit terminal in the area of Central Park Drive and Queen Street East when the suspect allegedly approached her, engaged her in conversation, and then sexually assaulted her.

In both incidents, the victims left the area and immediately reported the assaults to police.

A member of the public recognized the male pictured in the previous news release and contacted police, investigators arrested Olusegun Onidare, a 33-year-old male of no fixed address. 

He has been charged with the following offences:

·         Sexual Assault x 2

·         Breach of Probation Order

He was held for a bail hearing.
