Peel Police Foundation Makes Inaugural Community Investments: $445,000 to Support Vulnerable Youth and Anti-Human Trafficking Initiatives

Region of Peel – The Peel Police Foundation is making an immediate and meaningful impact, announcing a landmark $445,000 investment in six community organizations during its first round of community granting. The funding is dedicated to two critical areas: empowering vulnerable youth and advancing anti-human trafficking work across Peel Region.
This inaugural round of funding marks a major milestone for the Foundation, which launched in 2025 to mobilize resources and partnerships that address the region’s most urgent social challenges. The Foundation is a registered charitable organization governed by a volunteer Board of Directors
As one of Canada’s fastest-growing regions, Peel continues to face rising demand for social programs and other critical support services. The Foundation was created to help close that gap—directing critical funding to local organizations delivering community-based solutions.
Investments by the Foundation are supporting programs that focus on prevention, early intervention, and long-term resilience and strengthening collaboration with police and other community agencies.
The recipients of this inaugural community investment are:
