Five Arrested in Connection with a Double Homicide in Brampton
Region of Peel – Investigators with the Homicide Bureau have arrested and charged three adults and two youths in connection with the double homicide in Brampton.
On Friday, April 3, at approximately 10:21 p.m., officers responded to a shooting on the grounds of a school near Rutherford Road and Kennedy Road.
Upon arrival, officers located an adult male suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. A short distance away, near Weybridge Trail, officers located a male youth suffering from a gunshot wound. Despite lifesaving efforts, both victims succumbed to their injuries.
Following an extensive investigation, five individuals were arrested and charged between May and July:

- Possession of a Prohibited Device
- Possession of Firearm contrary to Prohibition Order
- Possession of Firearm with Altered Serial Number
Mcaium Aarons, 25, of Toronto
- Conspiracy to commit Indictable Offence
- Breach of Probation Order
Jayden Christmah, 23, of Orangeville
- Possession of Firearm for the Purpose of Trafficking
All suspects were held in custody pending a bail hearing before the Ontario Court of Justice.
A general provision of the Youth Criminal Justice Act (Y.C.J.A.) prohibits the release of the name of a Young Person, and, therefore, the identity of the youths charged in this investigation is protected.
In addition, five firearms were recovered in the investigation, three at the homicide scene, one a short distance away and the other following a search warrant at a residence in Brampton.
