Investigators Arrest Second Suspect in 25th Homicide of 2018

Region of PeelInvestigators from the Peel Regional Police Homicide and Missing Persons Bureau are investigating the 25th Homicide of 2018, which has claimed the life of Riley Driver-Martin.

The victim was located on Friday, December 7, 2018 at 7:58 a.m. after police received a call to a park in the area of Lewisham Drive and Truscott Drive in Mississauga.  

On Friday, December 7, 2018, Nicholas Mahabir, a 20 year-old man from Mississauga, was arrested and charged with Second Degree Murder.

On Saturday, December 8, 2018, an arrest warrant for Second Degree Murder was issued for Mark Mahabir, a 20 year-old man from Mississauga.

On Saturday, December 8, 2018, Mark Mahabir surrendered to Peel Regional Police. He will appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in the City of Brampton on Sunday, December 9, 2018 in answer to the charge of Second Degree Murder.
