Warrant Issued for a Series of Commercial Break & Enters

Region of Peel Investigators from the 11 Division Break and Enter Unit have issued a warrant for a 48-year-old man with no fixed address in relation to a series of commercial break and enters.

On Sunday, March 13, 2022, the suspect gained access to a car maintenance centre in the area of Bloor Street and Tomken Road in Mississauga. No property or money was reported stolen.

On Monday, March 21, 2022, the suspect gained access to a grocery store in the area of Dundas Street East and Universal Drive in Mississauga. A quantity of money was stolen from a large donation box.

On Thursday, March 24, 2022, the suspect gained access to a grocery store in the area of Dundas Street West and Winston Churchill Boulevard in Mississauga. A quantity of money was stolen from a donation box.

On Wednesday, March 30, 2022, the suspect gained access to a Pharmacy in the area of Confederation Drive and Square One Drive in Mississauga. A quantity of narcotics and money was stolen.

Extensive damage was caused to each property.

Investigators have identified the person allegedly responsible for these break and enters. An arrest warrant has been issued for David Fonseca, who is also known by the nickname “Duke”, for four counts of Break and Enter to Commit an Indictable Offence and one count of Possession of Property Obtained by Crime.

David Fonseca is strongly encouraged to seek legal counsel and turn himself into police.
