Firearm and Drugs Seized in Brampton

Region of Peel – Investigators from the Specialized Enforcement Bureau have completed a two-month investigation resulting in multiple charges against three individuals in relation to drugs and firearms offences in the City of Brampton. 

On Monday, July 13, 2020, investigators executed two search warrants at two separate residences in the area of Weybridge Trail and Rutherford Road in the City Brampton.  

As a result of this investigation, the following items were seized: 

A quantity of illicit substances believed to be cocaine and fentanyl
A loaded firearm (Glock 19 9mm Pistol)
Two high capacity magazines (capable of holding more ammunition, prohibited in Canada). 

On July 13, 2020, all three individuals were arrested, charged, and held for a bail hearing. All three attended the Ontario Court of Justice in Brampton on July 14, 2020.

Taychan Beharie, a 20-year-old man from Brampton, was charged with: 

Two counts of Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking
Breach of Recognizance
Possession of a Prohibited Device

Dwayne Willis, a 27-year-old from Brampton, was charged with:

Dangerous Operation of a Motor Vehicle
Unauthorized Possession of Firearm
Possession of a Loaded Firearm
Possession of a Firearm in a Motor Vehicle
Possession of a Prohibited Device (extended magazine)
Breach of Weapons Prohibition Order
Possession of Property Obtained by Crime 

Andre Tully, a 35-year-old from Brampton was charged with:

Obstruct Police
Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking
Breach of Recognizance
