Updated Application Process - How to Apply:

Please be advised that we have updated our application process to better respond to interested individuals who wish to apply for a Cadet or Constable position with our service.

Those who meet the minimum qualifications to apply for Cadet or Constable must now submit an online application to the job posting they are interested in by going to the "Apply Now" menu option.  Upon completion and submission of the online application you are to complete and email the following forms to recruitingbureau@peelpolice.ca:

  • Application Package
  • Consent and Release Liability Form
  • Transcripts (high school and any completed post-secondary courses/programs)
  • OACP certificate of results and any updated results to show all testing results are up to date and valid (required for Constable applications, only if applicable for Cadet applications)

Upon receipt and review, those who are deemed competitive applicants will be contacted to attend a Local Focus Assessment/Interview

Only candidates applying for Constable who possess a valid Certificate of Results (COR) from Applicant Testing Services (ATS), as well as meeting all other minimum qualifications, are eligible to apply.  Please do not apply in anticipation of obtaining a COR, or prior to meeting all other qualifications.

Local Focus Assessment/Interview Process Information

Competitive applicants will be contacted to come in for a Local Focus Assessment.  They wiill complete a written assessment of general knowledge and community awareness, the Pre-Background Questionnaire, and in addition, an assessment interview with a Recruitment & Staff Support Officer on their scheduled LFA date.

Applicants failing to attend on their selected Local Focus Assessment/Interview date, without prior notification, must wait a minimum of six (6) months to re-apply.

Re-Applying

Applicants deemed non-competitive at any stage of the recruiting process will be notified by email.  Re-applications may be made after the time restriction outlined in the closure notification email expires.  The number of applications is not limited, providing it is within the prescribed time parameters.  Personal, professional and/or educational improvement is desirable and expected between applications.
