Our employees spend numerous hours volunteering and fundraising to assist those in our community who are in need. In addition to raising funds for local charities and programs, these initiatives help to strengthen the relationship between Peel Regional Police and members of the community.

Big Brothers Big Sisters of Peel

Big Brothers Big Sisters Logo

The Big Brothers Big Sisters mentoring program matches a child 6 to 17 years of age (Little Sister/Little Brother) with a caring adult (Big Sister/Big Brother) over the age of 18. Through regular outings, a relationship is developed between the mentor and the mentee, which is built on trust and common interests and is supported by our experienced case-workers. The result is a life-changing experience for both the mentor and the mentee. There are other ways to volunteer, for example by helping the agency out with a fundraising event.

Welcome to the Cops for Cancer Donation page of Peel Regional Police!

This is the 17th year we have participated in Cops for Cancer to support the mission of the Canadian Cancer Society.

Because kids should never fight cancer alone. That’s why we do it.

We have been fundraising for paediatric cancer and hoping to make a difference in the lives of children who are fighting this illness today. We are hoping to make a difference in the lives of the families fighting alongside their kids and to keep the memory alive for all of those who have lost their fight.
Help us. Be a part of the fight. This year we will have events that fundraise Cops for Cancer, come and get involved. We want you there!

Nothing can stop us from finding a cure - not even a global pandemic.

There is no question about it, 2020 has been one of the most challenging years we have collectively faced. While it is still filled with uncertainty, JDRF knows that research and support for those living with type one diabetes (T1D) cannot slow down - not even for a second. Our commitment to those living with T1D is stronger than ever and the milestones we’ve reached is because you were by our side.

While our 2020 Annual Chief’s Dinner in support of the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation has been cancelled, we continue in our fight to make #TypeOneTypeNone.

Peel Police has been supporting JDRF for over two decades and our 2019 JDRF campaign was the biggest and most successful. With your support, as we shift to an online donation platform, we can again make a difference in the fight to find a cure for Juvenile Diabetes.

There continues to be an opportunity for our community to fuel research and improve the lives of those with T1D by providing a donation to JDRF. Simply click on the Donate button below and submit your donation. You will immediately receive a tax receipt at the time that your donation is processed.

Thank you for your trust and your investment in the mission and vision. We are fortunate to have you as supporters. Please consider our request and for continuing to support some of the most vulnerable members of our community. We will not stop until there is a cure!

29 Years of Toys For Tots!

It all began in 1993 when Peel Regional Police partnered up with Canadian Tire and Salvation Army to create the Toys for Tots campaign. Officers initially collected donations in water jugs to purchase new toys for underprivileged children within the community. Each year we strive to reach more and more children by delivering a message of hope and encouragement to them and their families in a manner which is meaningful and relevant. In 2019 nearly 9,000 families were assisted by the campaign.

On November 12, 2021 we kick off the 29th Annual Toys for Tots campaign and it has grown beyond anything we could have imagined. The past two years have been challenging for all of us but as our region is slowly opening up we are hopeful that this season will be a very successful one.
