Bicycle Registration

Peel Regional Police is pleased to offer our bicycle registration program online.  By registering your bicycle with Police, your chances of having your bicycle returned to you are greatly increased if it is lost or stolen.

Identification of your Bicycle

Manufacturers mark most bicycles with a serial number (commonly located under the crank case).  If yours does not have a serial number, engrave an identifying number on the frame. You may wish to put the same number on the wheels and other components.

Online Reporting Criteria and Information

  • You must have a valid E-Mail address.
  • You must provide the bicycle(s) serial number.
  • Anything marked with a red asterisk (*) is also required information.
  • Only registrants with an address with the area serviced by Peel Regional Police will be accepted.
  • Multiple bicycle registrations per report are available by clicking on "add property".
  • You will have the option to select "Yes" to having a Bicycle Registry sticker decal mailed to you.  One per bicycle.  The function of this sticker decal is to advertise your bicycle is registered with Police and serve as a visual anti-theft deterrent.  There are no identifying numbers on this decal and is pictured below:

Bike Sticker

  • Once you have submitted your registration a confirmation email will be sent that we have received your registration request, a second confirmation email will be sent with your report number.  If you choose to receive the optional registry sticker decal, one will be mailed to the address provided.

  • Filing a false police report is a criminal offence.
  • You may be contacted by e-mail or telephone if further information is required.
