Peel Police - Appeal for Witnesses in Mississauga Pedestrian Fatality

Region of Peel – Investigators from the Major Collision Bureau are seeking the public’s assistance with their investigation into a pedestrian fatality.

On Monday, December 4, 2017, at approximately 5:40 p.m., the victim was crossing Hurontario Street at Brunel Road in the City of Mississauga when he was struck by a motor vehicle.  The vehicle is a newer white Volkswagen Tiguan.  The vehicle remained on scene.

The victim was transported to a local hospital where he later succumbed to his injuries.

The victim has been identified as Golden Roy FREDDY, a 41 year-old male from the City of Mississauga. 

Investigators are appealing for witnesses who may have witnessed the collision, have dashboard video footage of the incident or who may have information regarding the actions of the pedestrian and /or driver prior to the collision.
