21 Year-Old Female Charged for Threatening Staff and Students in Mississauga

Region of Peel Investigators from the Peel Regional Police 11 Division Criminal Investigation Bureau have charged a female party for Uttering Threats.

On November 27, 2017 Peel Regional Police were made aware of threats being made online towards an elementary school. The threat did not mention a specific elementary school but advised the geographical area was the south west portion of the City of Mississauga.

Out of an abundance of caution, police presence was increased at various elementary schools in the area for public safety.

On November 29, 2017, Ana JANKOVIC, a 21 year-old female from the City of Toronto,was identifiedas the person responsible for the threats.  JANKOVIC was arrested and charged with one count of Uttering Threats. She was held for a bail hearing to take place on November 30, 2017 at the Ontario Court of Justice in Brampton.

Peel Regional Police would like to thank both school boards for their assistance during this investigation.  We would also like to thanks parents and students for their patience while investigators worked to resolve this incident.
