Peel Police - Appeal for Witnesses in Mississauga Marathon Dangerous Driving Incident

Region of Peel – Investigators from the 12 Division Criminal Investigation Bureau are seeking the public’s assistance as they investigate a dangerous driving incident in the City of Mississauga.

On Sunday, May 6, 2018 a Peel Regional Police uniform officer was posted at a road closure point on Indian Road to prevent access to a road being used for the Mississauga Marathon. At approximately 8:45 a.m. a motor vehicle approached the traffic point, ignored all directions given by the officer and entered the closed running lanes. There were no injuries however several marathon runners and motor vehicles were impeded.

On Wednesday, May 9, 2018, the driver of the vehicle was identified as Dylan DJURICKOVIC, a 21 year-old male of Mississauga. DJURICKOVIC was charged with Dangerous Operation of a Motor Vehicle, and released with a future court date in June 2018. 

Investigators would like to speak to any witnesses or Mississauga Marathon participants that witnessed the actions of the driver.
