Peel Police Services Board Awards and Media Awards

Region of Peel- On behalf of Chief Nishan Duraiappah, Peel Regional Police would like to invite members of the media to participate in the Peel Regional Police Media Awards Program. The awards were initiated to recognize the special efforts made by news agencies in a number of categories. These categories include: Print News or Feature; Radio News or Feature; Television News or Feature; Ethnic News or Feature; Editorial (any medium), Photograph and Social Media.

The competition is open to all journalists, photographers and illustrators (print or electronic media) whose entries contain reference to Peel Regional Police, and were published or aired during 2019.

Police services require the community’s support and involvement to function effectively. Peel Regional Police appreciate the role the media plays in communicating to the citizens of Peel the activities and concerns of its police service. We urge you to take a few moments to review any incidents you covered that involved Peel Regional Police and submit them for consideration.

The 2019 media awards will be presented during our annual Police Services Board Awards ceremony on Wednesday, June 10, 2020, at the Mississauga Convention Centre, 75 Derry Road West, Mississauga, at 7:00 p.m.
