Public Assistance Sought in Shooting Investigation

Region of Peel – Investigators from 22 Division, Criminal Investigation Bureau are appealing for the public’s assistance in locating a suspect following a shooting in Brampton.

On Wednesday, September 13, 2023, at approximately 3:10p.m., the suspect and victim, who are believed to be unknown to each other, became involved in a verbal argument in the area of McLaughlin Road and Bovaird Drive in Brampton. The argument led to the suspect allegedly shooting the victim several times.

The victim was transported to a trauma centre and is currently in non-life-threatening condition.

The suspect has been identified as Damian Solomon, a 23-year-old man from Brampton. If Solomon is located, the public is urged not to approach him, but rather contact 9-1-1 as he may be armed.
