Police Seek Public’s Assistance in Shooting Investigation

Region of Peel– Investigators from the 12 Division Criminal Investigation Bureau are seeking the public’s assistance in a shooting investigation.

On Saturday, June 9, 2019 at approximately 1:05 a.m. a witness heard what he believed to be gun shots outside his residence in the area of Rathburn Road and Cawthra Road in the City of Mississauga and observed an unknown suspect shooting at the victim, a 24 year old man from Mississauga.The victim contacted police and the suspect fled the area. No injuries were sustained.

Investigators are requesting that anyone with information, surveillance or dash cam footage in the area of Rathburn Road between Hurontario Street and Cawthra Road around the time of the shooting to call the 12 Division Criminal Investigation Bureau at  (905) 453–2121, ext. 1233.  Information may also be left anonymously by calling Peel Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477), or by visiting www.peelcrimestoppers.ca.
