Mississauga Shooting Becomes Region’s 7th Homicide Investigation

Region of Peel – Investigators from the Homicide and Missing Persons Bureau have now taken carriage a shooting investigation in Mississauga.

On Monday, August 3, 2020, at 9:36 p.m., police received a call for a report of shots fired at a residence in the area of Huntington Ridge Drive in the City of Mississauga.

Once officers arrived on the scene, Abdifatah Salah, a 25-year-old man from Mississauga was located suffering from a gunshot wound. He was transported to a trauma center in life-threatening condition but has since died as a result of his injury.

Investigators are seeking the assistance of anyone with information about this shooting or anyone with dashboard camera surveillance in the area of Mavis Road and Eglinton Avenue West on August 3, 2020, between 9:00 p.m. and 10:00 p.m. to contact investigators.
