Peel Police - Mississauga Man Arrested in Drug Trafficking Investigation

Region of Peel  – Investigators from the Vice, Narcotics, and Street Level Organized Crime Unit have arrested and charged a male in relation to a drug trafficking investigation in the City of Mississauga. 

After a lengthy investigation that commenced in March 2018, investigators have arrested and charged a 30 year-old Mississauga man responsible for trafficking drugs in the Region of Peel.

Three search warrants were executed within the City of Mississauga resulting in the following illegal drugs being located and seized. Health Canada advises that the drugs are:

  • Cocaine  
  • Diluted Fentanyl
  • Pure Fentanyl 
  • Methamphetamine
  • Heroin
  • MDMA
  • Ketamine
  • Alprazolam
  • Marihuana
  • Cannabinoid

The total street value of drugs seized is approximately $2.5 million dollars.

As a result Matthew PHAN, a 30 year-old male of Mississauga, was arrested and charged with multiple drug related offences.  

Peel Regional Police want to make the community aware that when purchasing these illicit drugs one should be aware of the possibility that these drugs may contain lethal amounts of fentanyl and/or carfentanyl.

Peel Regional Police have made a number of arrests involving cocaine and heroin combined with fentanyl and/or carfentanyl being sold to unsuspecting customers. 

We are concerned for public safety and continue to vigorously investigate matters involving illicit drugs.
