Brampton Man Dies as a Result of Early Morning Shooting

Region of Peel – Investigators from the Homicide and Missing Persons Bureau are currently investigating a shooting that led to the death of a man from Brampton.

On Tuesday, October 12, 2021, at 12:54 a.m., police received a call reporting a person had been shot at a plaza at Dixie Road and Peter Robertson Boulevard in the City of Brampton.

Upon arrival, emergency services located a man suffering from what appeared to be a gun shot wound.  He was transported to a trauma centre where he died as a result of his injuries.  

The victim has been identified as 36-year-old Amanjot Bains.

Based on the investigation police are aware that several potential witnesses were in the area at the time of the shooting, but have not yet had the opportunity to speak with investigators.
