Two People Charged with Firearm Offences in Mississauga
Region of Peel – Officers from the Strategic Tactical Enforcement Program (S.T.E.P.) team have arrested and charged one man from Mississauga and one woman from Thunder Bay with firearm-related offences.
On Saturday, November 11, 2023, S.T.E.P. officers conducted enhanced patrol in the area of Edwards Boulevard and Derry Road E in the City of Mississauga. At this time, S.T.E.P. investigated a motor vehicle occupied by two people. During the investigation, a firearm was observed in the vehicle. Both parties were arrested and charged with firearm offences.
Jessica Lewis, a 22-year-old woman from Thunder Bay, has been charged with the following offences:
- Knowledge of Unauthorized Possession of Firearm
- Possession of a Loaded Prohibited or Restricted Firearm
- Possession of a Prohibited Device or Ammunition Knowing Its Possession is Unauthorized
- Occupant of Motor Vehicle Knowing there was Firearm
Marcus Ragobeer, a 22-year-old man from Mississauga, has been charged with the following offences:
- Knowledge of Unauthorized Possession of Firearm
- Possession of a Prohibited or Restricted Firearm
- Possession of a Prohibited Device or Ammunition Knowing Its Possession is Unauthorized
- Occupant of Motor Vehicle Knowing there was Firearm
Both parties were held for a bail hearing and attended the Ontario Court of Justice in Brampton.
