Zero Tolerance for Street Racing

Posted On Friday September 18, 2020

Region of Peel –    Peel Regional Police have collaborated with York Regional Police, Toronto Police Service and the Ontario Provincial Police to address a recent uptick in illegal street racing activities, including drifting, stunting and dangerous driving behaviours.

As a result, police will be increasing patrols in and around known street racing locations throughout the Greater Toronto Area. As well, officers will be implementing a zero tolerance approach when dealing with any vehicle investigated for illegal street racing.

Peel Regional Police is committed to lowering the number of deaths and injuries on our roads by working with our road safety partners. This collaborative proactive response will ensure our streets remain a safe place for citizens to travel.
