Suspicious Vehicle Call Leads to Loaded Firearm

Region of Peel – Uniformed officers from 11 Division have seized a loaded firearm and laid charges against a man after responding to a call in Mississauga.

On October 15, 2021, shortly before 3:30 a.m., officers investigated a suspicious vehicle in the area of Derry Road East and Maxwell Road in the City of Mississauga.

As a result of the investigation, officers located a loaded Glock .23 calibre firearm.

As a result, 23-year-old Mohamed Aboulela of Milton, has been charged with the following offences:

  • Possession of a Loaded Prohibited or Restricted Firearm
  • Knowledge of Unauthorized Possession of Firearm
  • Carrying a Concealed Weapon
  • Possession of a Prohibited Device

Mohamed Aboulela was held for a bail hearing and appeared before the Ontario Court of Justice in Brampton on October 15, 2021.
