Update: Homicide Bureau Investigating Fatal Brampton Shooting

Region of Peel – Officers from the Homicide and Missing Persons Bureau are investigating a shooting in Brampton that led to the death of two men.

On Sunday, June 19, 2022, at approximately 2:02 a.m., emergency services received a call for shots fired in the area of Gateway Boulevard and Queen Street East in the City of Brampton. Upon arrival, officers located two victims suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. 

Kenroy Andre Benjamin, a 28-year-old man from Bolton was pronounced deceased at the scene, and Sheldon Taylor, a 40-year-old man from Whitby was transported to a local trauma centre, where he died from his injuries.

There is no suspect information available to share; however, this is believed to be an isolated incident.
