Safer Roads Team Charges Man Driving Dangerously in Brampton

Region of Peel – Investigators from the Road Safety Services Safer Roads Team have laid charges against a man after he failed to stop for police in Brampton.

On Tuesday, March 14, 2023, officers from the Safer Roads Team were conducting proactive speed enforcement in Brampton and conducted a traffic stop on the driver for stunt driving. The driver then fled from police upon being advised of the stunt driving charge.

On Wednesday, May 31, 2023, the Safer Roads Team identified the driver as 24-year-old Shivam Miglani from Brampton. Shivam is charged with the following offences:

• Dangerous Operation
• Flight from Peace Officer
• Identity Fraud (X2)
• Obstruct Peace Officer
• Disobey Court Order
• Race Motor Vehicle
• Speeding
• Drive Motor Vehicle No Currently Validated Permit

Officers seized the vehicle, and Shivam was held for a bail hearing regarding the federal and provincial laid charges.

Road Safety Services will continue proactively addressing dangerous driving throughout the Region of Peel. We are committed to road safety and having a safer community.
