Results of Project “Due Diligence” Targeting Hurontario / Dundas Street
Region of Peel – Officers from the 12 Division Community Incident Response Team (CIRT) have charged several individuals following a project targeting illegal activity in the Hurontario & Dundas Street area of Mississauga.
On Nov. 28, 2024, CIRT officers began Project Due Diligence in response to growing community complaints regarding narcotics trafficking and lawless behavior in the area of Hurontario Street and Dundas Street in Mississauga. These issues which have contributed to increased incidents involving violence have had significant impacts on local businesses and community members.
“We recognized the significant impact that the lawless public behaviour of some individuals was having on our residents and local businesses in the Cooksville area. As a result, our newly launched 12 CIRT team initiated a project which resulted in numerous charges and these individuals being held accountable. The project also allowed us to build relationships with local residents and businesses to ensure we keep an open dialogue of the concerns they are facing”, said Superintendent Harry Dhillon, 12 Division Commander.
As a result of this project, seven individuals have been arrested and charged with multiple offences. Officers executed several search warrants which saw large quantities of illegal cannabis and suspected cocaine seized. Additionally, more than 50,000 dollars in currency were seized.
Kingsley Kelly, a 56-year-old man from Mississauga who was wanted for other offences was arrested and charged with the following:
- Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking – Schedule I Cocaine
- Possessing Cannabis for the Purpose of Selling
- Assault with a Weapon
Kyle Williams, a 22-year-old man from Mississauga, was arrested and charged with the following:
- Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking – Schedule I Cocaine
- Possessing Cannabis for the Purpose of Selling
Glenroy Neubie, a 35 year-old-man from Bramton, was arrested and charged with the following:
- Possessing Cannabis for the Purpose of Selling
- Fail to Comply With Undertaking (X3)
John-Ross Harris, a 38-year-old-man from Mississauga, was arrested and charged with the following:
- Possessing Cannabis for the Purpose of Selling
Amir Abuhmaid, a 25-year-old-man from Mississauga, was arrested and charged with the following:
- Possession of Substance – Schedule I Cocaine
- Theft Under
Craig Dhu, a 31-year-old-man from Mississauga, was arrested and charged with the following:
- Obstruct Police
- Possessing Cannabis for the Purpose of Selling
Ralph Nembhard, a 32-year-old-man from Brampton, was arrested and charged with the following:
- Possessing Cannabis for the Purpose of Selling
These individuals are now subject to court ordered conditions prohibiting them from being within a significant distance of the Hurontario Street and Dundas Street area.
