Loaded Firearm Located During Traffic Stop
Region of Peel – Uniform Officers from 21 Division have charged a 29-year-old Brampton man with firearm and drug-related offences.
On Sunday, February 5, 2023, at approximately 9:30 p.m., 21 Division Uniform Officers investigated a vehicle near Torbram Road and North Park Drive in the City of Brampton.
As a result of the investigation, police located a loaded 9mm Glock firearm, a quantity of cocaine, and an amount of Canadian currency. Nicholas Hare, a 29-year-old man from Brampton, was held pending a bail hearing and charged with the following alleged offences:
· Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm
· Knowledge of Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm
· Occupant of Motor Vehicle Knowing there was a Firearm
· Carrying Concealed Weapon
· Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking – Cocaine
· Drive vehicle with cannabis readily available
