World Suicide Prevention Day

Posted On Tuesday September 10, 2019

You may not even realize that someone you know or love is in a dark place where they have lost the joy in life’s journey and don’t know how to ask for help.  On September 10, World Suicide Prevention Day, we as a community can open up lines of communication with small acts of support.

One way to show you care is to visit the Canadian Association for Suicide Prevention website and download this year’s World Suicide Prevention Day poster. Writing down and displaying an encouraging message about what suicide prevention means to you, can mean the difference to someone who may be suffering in silence.

By genuinely supporting each other and ensuring resources are readily available and accessible for anyone who may need to use them is so important. Sometimes being in the darkest place allows one to see the light at the end of the tunnel.

Know that you are not alone, there is hope and we can get through this together.
