Police Arrest Youth in Mississauga Stabbing

Region of Peel– Officers from the 11 Division Criminal Investigation Bureau have been investigating a stabbing incident that occurred last month, in the City of Mississauga.  

On Wednesday, May 22, 2019, at approximately 11:56 p.m., police attended a commercial plaza located in the area of Tenth Line West and Thomas Street in Mississauga. An altercation had taken place resulting in two victims being stabbed.

An 18 year-old-man and a 20 year-old-man were both transported to a trauma centre with life threatening injuries and were later deemed to be in stable condition.

On Friday, June 14, 2019, a 17 year-old male young person from Mississauga was arrested and charged with two counts of Aggravated Assault. The accused was held for a bail hearing and will attend the Ontario Court of Justice.

A general provision of the Youth Criminal Justice Act (Y.C.J.A.) prohibits the release of the name of a Young Person and, therefore, the identity of the Young Person charged in this investigation is protected.
