Arrests Made Following Home Invasions Targeting Luxury Vehicles

Region of Peel – Investigators from the Peel Regional Police Central Robbery Bureau have charged three individuals following an investigation related to two separate home invasions where luxury vehicles were targeted.

It is alleged that on Thursday, August 1, 2024, at approximately 2:45 a.m., four suspects attempted to force entry into a home in the area of Creditview Road and Maybeck Drive in Brampton, however were unsuccessful and did not enter the home.  They were seen fleeing in a stolen white Acura sedan.  A luxury vehicle was parked in the driveway and is believed to be the target of the attempted robbery.  

A short time later, the same suspects allegedly attended a second residence near Brisdale Drive and Mayfield Road in Brampton. The suspects forced entry into the home and made demands for keys to a luxury vehicle parked outside. During the robbery, three victim’s suffered stab wounds as the suspects attempted to collect the vehicle keys.  The suspects fled the area in the victim’s vehicle, and the previously observed stolen Acura sedan.

All three victims were taken to a local hospital and their injuries were deemed non-life-threatening.

Investigators located the stolen Acura sedan and two of the suspects were arrested. 

Later that morning, investigators executed a search warrant in Brampton.  The third suspect was arrested and offence related property was recovered.

A 14-year-old young person was charged with:

  • Robbery (X2)
  • Wear Disguise with Intent
  • Aggravated Assault (X3)
  • Possession of Property Obtained by Crime

A 15-year-old young person was charged with:

  • Robbery (X2)
  • Wear Disguise with Intent
  • Aggravated Assault (X3)
  • Possession of Property Obtained by Crime
  • Breach of Probation
  • Breach of Court Order 

At the time of the arrest, one of the young persons was bound by a previous court order stemming from charges of Robbery and Fail to comply with Release Order and as a result has been charged with Breach of Probation and Court Order. 

A 15-year-old young person was charged with:

  • Robbery (X2)
  • Wear Disguise with Intent
  • Aggravated Assault (X3)
  • Possession of Property Obtained by Crime

They were all held for bail hearings and appeared at the Ontario Court of Justice in Brampton.

The investigation is continuing, and investigators will be attempting to locate and arrest the fourth outstanding suspect.

A general provision of the Youth Criminal Justice Act (Y.C.J.A.) prohibits the release of the name of a Young Person, and, therefore, the identity of the Young Persons charged in this investigation is protected.
