Traffic Stop Leads to Firearm, Drug Seizure
Region of Peel – Officers from the 11 Division Community Incident Response Team (CIRT) and Criminal Investigation Bureau (CIB) seized a firearm and drugs during proactive patrol in Mississauga.
On May 14, 2025, during a traffic stop around Princess Royal Drive and Living Arts Drive, officers arrested two individuals and seized a Glock .40-calibre firearm along with a quantity of drugs from the vehicle.
Daniel Foster, a 29-year-old man from Hamilton, has been charged with the following offences:
- Possession of a Loaded Prohibited or Restricted Firearm
- Knowledge of Unauthorized Possession of Firearm
- Careless Storage of a Firearm, Weapon, Prohibited Device or Ammunition
- Occupant of a Motor Vehicle Knowing there was Firearm
- Fail to Comply with Release Order – Other than to Attend Court X2
- Possession of a Controlled Substance – Schedule I Cocaine
Nakayla Mcnish, a 29-year-old woman from Bowmanville, has been charged with the following offences:
- Careless Storage of Firearm, Weapon, Prohibited Device or Ammunition
- Knowledge of Unauthorized Possession of Firearm
- Occupant of Motor Vehicle Knowing there was Firearm
- Possession of a Loaded Prohibited or Restricted Firearm
- Possession of a Controlled Substance – Schedule I Cocaine
The accused were held for bail hearing and attended the Ontario Court of Justice in Brampton.
