Updated Identity of Arrested Man

Region of Peel – On Monday, March 11, 2019 at 11:18 a.m., Peel Regional Police were called to a commercial plaza in the area of Dundas Street and Cawthra Road, in Mississauga for a shooting. Michael Deabaitua-Schulde, a 32-year-old man from Mississauga, was transported to a trauma centre with gunshot wounds. He later succumbed to his injuries.

On Wednesday, March 13, 2019, Marckens Vilme, a 28-year-old man from Montreal, was arrested and charged with First Degree Murder.

A second man was also arrested with Marckens Vilme who had identified himself as Jonathan Martinez-Reyes, a 26-year-old man from Montreal.  At that time he had been arrested and charged with Accessory After the Fact to Murder however, after further investigation it has been determined that his true identity is in fact Brandon Reyes, a 24 year old from Montreal.  Brandon Reyes has been charged with Accessory After the Fact to Murder.  

A Canada Wide Warrant for First Degree Murder is still in place for Joseph Pallotta, a 38-year-old man from Montreal. He is believed to be armed and dangerous and is described as a white male, 5’10’’, 245 lbs.; he has a heavy build, brown eyes, and brown graying hair.
