Man Charged in Brampton Stabbing

Region of Peel– Investigators from the 22 Division Criminal Investigative Bureau have arrested and charged a man in relation to a stabbing in the City of Brampton.

On Friday, August 30, 2019, at approximately 4:42 p.m., a physical altercation between several men occurred at a convenience store near Main Street North and Church Street East in Brampton. The victim, a 36-year-old man, tried to intervene and was stabbed by one of the men who then fled the scene. The victim was transported to a trauma centre with serious but non-life threatening injuries.

On Saturday, September 7, 2019, a 26 year-old man from Brampton was arrested and charged with Aggravated Assault and Breach of Recognizance. He is set to appear for a bail hearing at the Ontario Court of Justice in Brampton on September 8, 2019.
