Officer Charged With Criminal Offence
Region of Peel – After a single motor vehicle collision, an off-duty officer has been charged with impaired related offences.
On Thursday, September 22, 2022, at approximately 2:02 a.m., 11 Division officers responded to a single motor vehicle collision in the area of 2500 Royal Windsor Drive, in the City of Mississauga.
As a result, Constable Terrence Bayley, a two-year employee of Peel Regional Police, was charged with the following offence:
- Impaired Operation - Excess Blood Alcohol
Constable Terrance Bayley was suspended with pay as per the provisions of the Police Services Act, and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Brampton on Monday, November 14, 2022
Once the criminal court proceedings have been completed, a Police Services Act investigation will follow.
