Safer Roads Team Charges Man Driving Dangerously at Westwood Square

Region of Peel – Investigators from the Road Safety Services Safer Roads Team have laid charges against a man after he was allegedly dangerously operating a vehicle at Westwood Square in Mississauga.

On Tuesday, March 21, 2023, at approximately 9:15 p.m., officers from the Safer Roads Team observed a motor vehicle being operated dangerously by performing high-speed circular manoeuvres in the parking lot of Westwood Square near Goreway Drive and Morningstar Drive in Mississauga.  

A 22-year-old man from Cheltenham is charged with the following offences:

· Dangerous Operation

· Race a Motor Vehicle

· Unnecessary Noise

· No muffler – Motor Vehicle

· Drive Motor Vehicle – Not in Accordance with Emission Regulations

Officers seized the vehicle and released the suspect with conditions. He will appear before the Ontario Court of Justice on May 17, 2023, regarding the federal and provincial laid charges.

Road Safety Services will continue to address dangerous driving proactively throughout the Region of Peel, including Westwood Square. We are committed to road safety and having a safer community.
