Man Charged in Fatal Fail to Remain Brampton Collision

Region of Peel– Investigators from the Major Collision Bureau have made an arrest in relation to a fatal fail to remain collision that occurred in the area of Queen Street East and Cherrycrest Drive in the City of Brampton on January 5, 2020.

On Sunday, January 5, 2020 at 12:20 a.m., 16 year-old Dianna Manan of Toronto was found as she lay in the middle of a live lane of traffic on eastbound Queen Street near the intersection of Cherrycrest Drive in the City of Brampton. Dianna was transported to a trauma centre  where she later succumbed to her injuries. 

On June 25, 2020 following an intensive investigation, officers from the Major Collision Bureau arrested 21 year-old Adhinath Sankar of the City of Vaughan.  He was arrested and charged with  Fail to Remain Causing Death and was held pending a bail hearing on June 26, 2020.
