Police Seek Public’s Assistance in Shooting Investigation

Region of Peel– Investigators from the 21 Division Criminal Investigation Bureau are appealing to the public for information in relation to a shooting incident at Lakeridge Plaza. The plaza is located in the area of Vodden Street East and Lakeridge Drive in the City of Brampton.

On Sunday, May 26, 2019, at approximately 3:24 a.m., a lone male approached a number of patrons standing out in front of the sports bar and discharged a firearm towards the crowd.

There were no injuries sustained as a result of this incident and the suspect was last seen fleeing on foot toward the rear of the plaza.

Investigators are requesting that anyone with information, surveillance or dash cam footage in the area of  Vodden Street and Lakeridge Drive, more specifically the Lakeridge Plaza during the time of the shooting to call the 12 Division Criminal Investigation Bureau at  (905) 453–2121, ext. 2133.  Information may also be left anonymously by calling Peel Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477), or by visiting www.peelcrimestoppers.ca.
