On Sunday, July 7, 2019, Peel Regional Police Inspector Nav Chhinzer, joined officers from 21 Division at a Mississauga soccer pitch for a friendly game against some talented young people from the Ontario Khalsa Darbar Soccer Club.

Peel Regional Police are always looking for engaging ways to strengthen relationships within the community. Khalsa Darbar players won the coin toss and  displayed skill and talent as they defeated the Peel soccer team in a close and competitive match, with a final score of 5 goals to 3.  It was proven that old legs can still move like the wind.

This soccer event was the result of the ongoing positive engagement between members of the Peel Regional Police and the community it serves. Peel Regional Police would like to take this opportunity to thank the organizers of the Ontario Khalsa Darbar Soccer Club and all the friends and family members who came out to support this worthy event.

“This event goes to show what can be accomplished when the police and the community work hand in hand to become united.” said Deputy Chief Marc Andrews, who supported both teams from the sidelines.

There were goals on the field that could be measured in points and goals off the field which will be measured in lasting memories and friendships.
