Arrest Made in Sex Assault Investigation

Region of Peel – Investigators from the Special Victims Unit have charged a Brampton man following an alleged stranger sexual assault.

On September 9, 2023, the 14-year-old female victim was walking through Chinguacousy Park in Brampton when she was allegedly followed and sexually assaulted.

On September 14, 2023, officers located and arrested 44-year-old Davey Anthony Hardware. He has been charged with the following Criminal Code offences:

• Sexual Assault 
• Sexual Interference

He was held for a bail hearing and appeared at the Ontario Court of Justice in Brampton.
