Update: Final Arrest in December 2020 Homicide

Region of Peel – Investigators from the Homicide and Missing Persons Bureau have charged the sixth individual, alleged to have been involved in a homicide in December 2020. 

On Thursday, December 17, 2020, at approximately 10:30 p.m., emergency services received reports of gunshots being fired from within a residence in the area of Scott Street and Church Street in the City of Brampton. Uchenna Achioso, a 23-year-old man from the City of Brampton, was found with gunshot wounds and transported to a trauma centre, where he later died due to the injuries he sustained.

Tamaal Japp, a 24-year-old man from Brampton, was arrested on April 21, 2021, in Thunder Bay for First Degree Murder. He was transported to Peel Region and held for a bail hearing; he attended the Ontario Court of Justice on April 22, 2021, in Brampton. 

All six individuals involved in this murder have now been arrested and charged.
