Firearm Located After Mississauga Search Warrant

Region of Peel – Officers from the Specialized Enforcement Bureau have laid charges against a man, after a firearm was located in Mississauga.

On September 17, 2021, under the authority of a Criminal Code search warrant issued by the courts, investigators with the assistance of the Tactical Unit, conducted a search warrant in the area of Matheson Boulevard and Kennedy Road South in the City of Mississauga. The search resulted in the discovery of a sawed-off shotgun.

As a result, Jarreth Brinson, a 28-year-old man from Mississauga, has been charged with the following offences: 

  • Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm
  • Knowledge of Unauthorized Possession of Firearm
  • Careless Storage of Firearm
  • Possession of a Firearm Contrary to Court Order 

Jarreth Brinson appeared at the Ontario Court of Justice in Brampton on September 18, 2021 in answer to the charges.
