Arrest Made in Sexual Assault Investigation

Region of Peel – Investigators from the Peel Regional Police have arrested and charged a man with sexual assault that is alleged to have occurred on Applewood Trail in Mississauga.

On Friday, May 31, 2024, at approximately 3:20 p.m., a female victim was approached from behind by the suspect while walking on Applewood Trail in Mississauga. The suspect allegedly sexually assaulted the victim, before he fled on foot. There were no physical injuries reported.

The suspect and the victim are not known to each other.

Through investigation, Andrew Pires, an 18-year-old man from Mississauga has been arrested and charged with the following offence. 

  • Sexual Assault

Police believe that there may be more victims and urge them to come forward.
